We were traveling with my 10 year old daughter who has celiacs. She wanted ice cream. After checking reviews she decided this was the place she wanted to try. The staff member that we were asking questions did not seem interested in helping us whatsoever. My daughters needs? She only needed ice cream in a dish... but ice cream that didnt have wheat, barely, rye, or oats in it. Easy right since most ice cream is made with sugar, cream, and flavoring. We decided to go around the corner to another ice cream shop where they were willing to answer a couple of questions.

They have Pup Cups, dog friendly ice cream. Staff was so sweet and helpful.

Awesome little Ice Cream Parlor located in the heart of Gettysburg. There's always a crowd, so, if you're looking to get a seat rather then walk and enjoy, you could be out of luck but the shop itself is very pleasant. Service is fast, staff is friendly and seems to truly enjoy serving the community. The prices are fair, and the Ice Cream is incredible! A favorite little stop of ours on the strip.

Absolutely delicious with very generous portions. As the kind young lady who served us handed me my order, I said, "Oh, I just ordered a single scoop." She replied, "This is a single scoop." Wow! The coconut ice cream is out-of-this-world good!

I don't know what is better, the icecream or the hospitality of the employee; both were stellar. I tried the cannonball crunch! One of the best ice creams I've had! I highly recommend Sunset Icecream and I will be returning very soon!

Tried this out after seeing the battlefield at Gettysburg. Great ice cream and the lady operating the counter was very nice. Tip: If you are hot and sweaty, try to sit near the front. The wall trim is an AC vent.

This ice cream parlor has the best ice cream around here! One scoop of ice cream is more like two scoops. I personally love their salted caramel ice cream in a pretzel cone. If you've never had a pretzel cone then you should try one. They are awesome! The prices are very low for the amount you get. One scoop is under $5.00 and like I mentioned the scoops are huge. Can't wait til they open again! Enjoy 🍦😃

The Saddest Ice Cream Dip Ever...Usually big fans of this place. Today was the first time I ever was ever sad when getting a cone of ice cream. What kind of ice cream dipper doesn't put ice cream in the cone?! Seriously, just a tiny scoop plopped on top of an empty waffle cone. It fell off the first time she tried to put it on... probably for the lack of ice cream inside. I spent $8.70 for two empty cones and a piddly amount of ice cream for myself and my fiance! If you see a gray haired lady behind the counter turn around and go next door to Kilwans or Mr. G's! Not worth the money or the disappointment.

Wonderful ice cream! I have been going to this location ever since I was a kid. Definitely has that Hometown feel. this is highly recommended it is always overlooked but it's definitely one of the best in Gettysburg.

Place is wonderful. The serving sizes are large and the ice cream is wonderful. The peanut butter had so much peanut butter in it so good. Take the family and be sure to tip your servers!

Only get to Gettysburg once a year, and for the past 10 I've been stopping here for an ice cream.

The young lady working was very quick and friendly. She obviously enjoys her job, which makes visiting this location a pleasant experience. The ice cream was yummy!

Wonderful experience! The cones are huge and stacked! They had a vegan chocolate which was perfect for our son who is severely lactose intolerant.

Absolutely the most amazing ice cream we have ever had. The people at the Sunset Ice Cream Parlor were absolutely amazing and very kind, sweet, and beyond helpful! The ice cream is made locally in the state, and you can just taste the freshness. One of favorite places to go when I visit Gettysburg, other than the Civil War attractions.
